A pave with good intentions…. A great pander to mind realities that are never real
The reality of the gHetto

It’s above the honour of a human being to give praise to one of our fellow men and women who have on occasions been an integral part of the word and spiritual revolution in this world.
In our travels of the religious books we have in abundance we still fail to do the simplest of things that God through His prophets that live among us-to love and live love.
Is no greater redemption than the spirit of love?
Love has no substitute except its great adversary of enmity. That is the most sacred truth. After all we are all creatures of love.
In the beginning there was obviously love before anything in our midst was to be.
It’s been a long, bumpy and spiky road behind but now there lies ahead an even bumpier, spikier and grave way towards the emancipation of the black mind.
In daylight we think we shine, forgetting it’s the sun that glows back at us.
Come nightfall we think we have accomplished and slumber aback our spines, forgetting it’s the day that retires.
We dream and mingle with the spirits of the mind and deny our ancestors’ presence. In the bellowing dusks of each morning we wake up to be assured of a day that
Apart from an everyday reliance on faith, it is up to one to reconcile with the soul and the mind ask people to forgive you in whatever wrong you did to them. If they accept in that way, it would have to mean that God has forgiven you as well.
Be of that folk of men who do well very now and then. There is a belief in Karma-Sutra in whatever you do, build it in spirit of knowing that it might come back to you again.
It is a simple rhetoric or rather a sentiment closer in meaning that it is the hand that gives that also takes. Do unto others, as you would like them to do unto you.
This business of saying things that are not substantiated is not the way we ought to do things.
To say ‘things’ is way too general.
People have a tendency of re-directing their irresponsibility to those who are vulnerable and stereotyped.
It’s under the same observation that we saw a need to rebuild and give re-birth to the way we approach our mistakes and

give us a book to save communities

tHe give a child a book Initiative

Several years ago, a small group of university students and youth community leaders, set out with a dream to make a book donation to disadvantaged and marginalised communities in Zimbabwe, with particular focus on the rural community.
That dream has grown to a reality, and became ‘the give a child a book initiative’ and seeks to touch the lives of millions of children of school going age.
It took a couple of visits to Zimbabwe’s remote areas to inspire this initiative to change the situation of collapsing rural schools. It was clear that there are no libraries, information centers in these schools. Where there is one, there would worn out books, some outdated and irrelevant to any child of school going age.
In these communities, children who are lucky to be in school and those without opportunities live very modest with limited resources; nevertheless, presenting a potential of changing their lives to the better.
In an effort to ensure that anyone in these communities has a chance to prosper, we formed the give a child a book initiative, to afford every child to use the book as their stepping stone to success.
The give a child a book initiative is dedicated to the fundamental idea that books are key in the acquisition of knowledge for any society that cherishes successful livelihoods- bearing that when you give someone a book, you not give them pages bound up together, but you offer them a possibility of a new chapter in their lives.

WHAT WE DO
We are solely concentrating on sourcing and donating books for school going children in disadvantaged societies. By so doing, equipping such communities to establish book / information centres, school libraries and reading classes that promote literacy and cultivate local literary talents.
Our book donations provide the necessary guidance to children of school going age to receive knowledge from books and other literary material and also form a strong foundation for them to grow and thrive.

WHO WE HELP
Many of the places we work in suffer from extreme poverty, lack of basic resources, limited medical care and educational resources and past internal conflicts.
Thanks to the people we have met on our journey – many of whom face difficult living conditions, yet still manage to find hope in the midst of their daily struggles – we believe now more than ever in the resiliency of the human spirit, and in the ability of knowledge to transform a dire situation into a positive one.
The Give a Child a Book Initiative offers hope to children everywhere. We believe that when given the choice, the majority of children will choose a positive, inspiring path in life over a negative one.

WHERE WE ARE GOING
In our ongoing effort to connect societies through books, we strive to:
-Continue progress with schools currently in development.
-Develop new book centres and donation programs.
-Establish valuable partnerships with other organisations.
-Expand the book opportunities and resources available to communities in need.

This initiative is one that all other forward thinking concepts can follow; by establishing such projects and sharing it with communities worldwide, we strive to be a part of the rising consciousness of the human race.
The Give a Child a Book Initiative is committed to creating positive change through books and education.

Books are our ammunition.

if u have a book to share, then bring it on and help create a shelf where there is none
